PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This educational will provide healthcare providers with tools to identify desmoid tumors and review the novel mechanisms for clinical management. The program will also summarize current clinical trial results, which impact development of evidence-based guidelines in the management of desmoid tumors. Adverse event monitoring will also be discussed.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of medical oncologists, sarcoma specialists, pathologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists, oncology nurses, and advanced care practitioners to ensure optimal clinical assessment and management of patients with desmoid tumors.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Appraise the pathophysiologic basis of desmoid tumors and the rationale for use of novel mechanisms in clinical management
- Summarize current clinical data informing evidence-based guidelines for use of systemic therapy in the management of desmoid tumors
- Evaluate best practices in the multidisciplinary management of desmoid tumors, including through optimized adverse event monitoring and management
