PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The goal of this program is to assist practicing physicians that care for patients with respiratory distress due to asthma symptoms via targeted education. This program will ensure that physicians are equipped with the knowledge to make informed, proactive management decisions that reduce exacerbation occurrences and hospitalizations, improve adherence rates, and improve quality of life for all patients with moderate-to-severe asthma.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of US-based community-based clinicians, pulmonologists, respiratory technicians, and other healthcare providers involved in the care of adult patients with moderate-to-severe asthma.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Develop strategies to provide care of moderate-to-severe asthma that align with evidence-based guidelines and patient-specific factors
- Demonstrate evidence-based, multidisciplinary strategies to improve patient education to reduce a lack of awareness and understanding of asthma management
- Describe the clinical evidence for approved and investigational agents for the potential treatment of moderate-to-severe asthma
