PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This educational activity is designed to meet practice gaps and the needs of those healthcare professionals who treat patients with Rett syndrome (RTT). This immersive virtual reality experience will highlight the importance of shared decision making with caregivers and help develop strategies for alignment on treatment outcomes between providers and family caregivers. Participants will also be updated on novel therapies under development for RTT.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for pediatric neurologists and neurologists involved in the diagnosis and treatment of RTT.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Create strategies to align the viewpoints of healthcare providers and caregivers regarding the efficacy of Rett Syndrome treatment and its impact on the quality of life
- Evaluate outcomes from clinical trials exploring novel therapeutic options for Rett Syndrome
- Incorporate shared decision-making with caregivers as a standard practice in clinical care
