PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This virtually live Grand Rounds program is focused on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It will provide you with an update on new information regarding the complex pathogenesis and pathophysiology of COPD, enhance your understanding of biologics targeting mediators of type 2 inflammation for treating COPD in appropriate patient populations, and improve your ability to provide timely referrals to COPD specialists and participate in multidisciplinary management teams (MDTs). This interactive program combines didactic instruction with case-based discussions.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of PCPs and Family Physicians involved in the management of patients at risk of or with COPD.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Identify key aspects of type 2 inflammatory pathways to guide potential therapeutic targets for COPD in suitable veteran patient populations
- Describe clinical data from early studies using biologics that target mediators of type 2 inflammation for treating COPD in appropriate veteran patient populations
- Make timely referrals to COPD specialists when necessary and ensure coordinated care through active participation in multidisciplinary teams (MDTs)
