PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This case-based activity will cover the treatment and management of patients with advanced/metastatic basal cell carcinoma.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Review the roles of both aberrant pathways and immune dysfunction in the pathogenesis of BCC
- Describe grading, staging, biopsy techniques, and treatment of basal cell carcinoma from low to high risk
- Apply the AAD practice guidelines for a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment of locally advanced and metastatic BCC
- Discuss late-stage immunotherapy trial data in the treatment of patients with advanced or metastatic basal cell skin cancer
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of primarily dermatologists, onco-dermatologists, and medical oncologists, Mohs surgeons, and other healthcare practitioners who care for patients with advanced/metastatic basal cell skin cancer.
