PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This educational activity will assess the pathophysiology and disease domains of psoriatic arthritis as well as review FDA-approved agents and their roles in in treating the disease. Additionally, we will discuss the appropriateness of combination or monotherapy regimens and unanswered questions in this area.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The enduring online Whiteboard Preceptorship program is intended for US-based rheumatologists and rheumatology advanced practice providers (NPs and PAs) who are involved in the care and treatment of patients with psoriatic arthritis.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Utilize current guidelines for initial and long-term therapeutic approaches for PsA
- Assess the efficacy and safety differences/similarities between combination and monotherapy regimens for PsA
- Evaluate the safety and toxicity of csDMARDS and newer agents available for PsA
- Apply new ways to initiate and manage PsA treatment with monotherapy to minimize toxicity risk
