PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This enduring activity will cover the treatment of patients with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of neurologists, neuro-ophthalmologists, and emergency physicians who treat patients with NMOSD.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After participating in this educational initiative, clinicians should be better able to:
- Recognize NMOSD as a disease associated with a range of significant symptoms, QOL detriments, and potentially serious comorbidities
- Knowledgeably manage patients with NMOSD during the COVID-19 pandemic to minimize/prevent disease-related risks, medication-related complications, and possible COVID-19-associated infection
- Review clinical trial data of newly available treatments for NMOSD, evaluating the therapeutic and safety advantages/disadvantages of each, and methods for most effectively integrating new treatments for NMOSD into clinical practice
ACCREDITATION STATEMENT
Med Learning Group is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This CME activity was planned and produced in accordance with the ACCME Essentials.
CREDIT DESIGNATION STATEMENT

Purpose: This program would be beneficial for nurses involved in the care of patients with NMOSD.
CNE Credits: 1.5 ANCC Contact Hours.
