PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This program will focus on reviewing patient-specific factors and clinical presentations to improve the diagnosis of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). Risk-to-benefit ratio, and treatment guidelines will be explored to determine the appropriate use of biologics in the treatment of CRSwNP. The importance of a multidisciplinary team approach to develop personalized treatment plans for patients with CRSwNP will also be addressed.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of community primary care physicians and advanced practice providers, as well as other members of the multidisciplinary care team, such as otolaryngologists, ENT specialists, pulmonologists, and allergists involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with CRSwNP.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Interpret clinical presentation and patient-specific factors to improve the diagnosis of or specialty referral for the diagnosis of CRSwNP
- Describe the scientific rationale, benefit and risk profiles, and evidence-based treatment guideline recommendations for the use of biologics to treat CRSwNP
- Utilize multidisciplinary team (MDT) and shared decision making (SDM) approaches to develop personalized treatment plans for patients with CRSwNP
