PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This podcast series will focus on improving the ability of healthcare professionals (HCPs) to accurately assess recurrence risk in the patient with either basal cell carcinoma (BCC) or cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC); increasing communication and coordination for the oncology team to optimize the care of high-risk patients with appropriate use of immune checkpoint therapy in NMSC; and ensuring the consistent application of evidence-based oncology recommendations for patients with either BCC or cSCC for clinicians treating NMSC within the Department of Veterans Affairs.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of Veterans Affairs dermatologists, Mohs surgeons, medical oncologists, head and neck surgeons and the multidisciplinary care team who care for Veterans with either basal cell or cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Apply risk assessment for recurrence to veterans with either cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma or basal cell carcinoma
- Evaluate immunotherapy clinical trials findings for their appropriate application via clinical practice guidelines to patients with either BCC or cSCC
