TARGET AUDIENCE
This educational activity is intended for U.S.-based community neurologists who are involved in the diagnosis and treatment of older adolescents and adults with SMA.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
On completing the program, attendees should be able to:
- Incorporate strategies into your clinical practice that allow for prompt recognition of the signs and symptoms of SMA in older adolescents and adults in order to provide the earliest possible diagnosis
- Assess results from clinical trials evaluating therapies for the treatment of your older adolescent and adult patients with SMA including data indicating that disease-modifying therapies can alter the natural history of the disease
- Facilitate multidisciplinary management of your older adolescent and adult patients with SMA
