PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This educational activity is designed to help healthcare providers who treat patients with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) to better understand the pathophysiology of the disease and to more easily recognize the symptoms of EoE. This program will also examine currently approved and emerging treatments for EoE, as well as the importance of team-based care to improve patient outcomes.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of pediatricians and additional primary care providers, as well as their clinical teams.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Summarize key characteristics of EoE pathophysiology
- Assess the clinical signs and symptoms that should arouse suspicion of EoE in the primary care setting
- Interpret results from studies of newly approved and emerging therapeutic options for EoE
- Enhance the quality of patient care through effective collaboration with additional HCPs
